Our Story

Built With Purpose. Fuelled By Craftsmanship.

At Kolt Tebb Fabrications Inc., everything we build comes from a place of passion — a deep respect for craftsmanship, and a commitment to always going the extra mile.

But for me, it started long before this became a business.

A Spark in the Garage

I was four years old, hammering nails into scrap wood in my dad’s garage, building my first “castle” out of whatever I could find. I didn’t know it then, but that was the moment the spark lit — the love of building, of working with my hands. That spark never left.

First Tools, First Lessons

By grade 7, I had my first shop job. I was learning how to use a MIG welder and building small custom tools to make the shop more efficient.

In grade 10, I joined the Registered Apprentice Program. Every afternoon, I worked on boat propellers — learning TIG welding and the challenge of shaping materials like cast aluminum, bronze, and stainless steel.

Every Mistake Taught Me Something

It didn’t come easy. I messed up, tried again, and got better — one weld at a time. Each mistake taught me more than the last. That’s when I learned that real craftsmanship isn’t just skill — it’s grit, patience, and persistence.

Creativity Meets Craft

During that same time, I entered a welding 4H competition and built a large aluminum horse planter — completely designed from cardboard scraps. It won Grand Champion in both welding and design. That was the moment I realized: creativity and precision don’t just go together — they make something unforgettable.

Sharpening My Edge

After high school, I started trade school with hundreds of shop hours already behind me. I graduated at the top of my class in both technical and theoretical training.

I went to work at Inox Fabrication under a German mentor who taught me to turn ideas — even ones sketched on a napkin — into precise, functional builds. That’s where I really sharpened my edge.

From Side Hustle to Full-Time Mission

At 20, I earned my Red Seal Journeyman certification and was nominated for Alberta’s highest mark in the welding trade.

But even then, Kolt Tebb Fabrications was always in the background — evenings, weekends, any time I could build something custom and meaningful for a client. The work was tailored, intentional, and built to last.

Eventually, I made the leap and took KTF full time. It wasn’t about chasing jobs — it was about answering the calling to build the right way. With heart. With detail. And with the kind of quality that doesn’t need to be explained — because it speaks for itself.
